Anime Supercon has announced that they will be partnering with Toys for Tots - The U.S. Marine Corp. toy drive. A Toys for Tots drop off station will be set up at the show next to the registration area and attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the show or to purchase a toy in the exhibition room to donate.

World Cosplay Summit partners with New York Anime Festival
The New York Anime Festival has announced that they will be the site of the World Cosplay Summit's Official USA Preliminary Round. According to the press release, the winners of the convention's masquerade will receive a free trip to Japan to represent the USA in the World Cosplay Summit Finals in 2008. This is the first WCS competition held in the United States since the highly controversial 2005 competition.
